The Necessary Sacrifices and Downside of Serving God

All the LORD’S commands and decrees that God has given us are for our own good. Dt 10:13
Since Jesus came, bringing Grace (His many daily gifts to us) and Truth, His sacrifice is the only sacrifice God recognizes as legitimate for any purpose – any other supposed sacrifices of man are, in God’s sight, illegitimate. If our thoughts and emphasis in relation to Christ are based on what we do for Him we have surely reversed the true Master/servant relationship – all giving, in the Christian life, is from Christ to us (or, as even greater blessings for us, His giving to others through us)!
